Located in the Igara area, near industrial zones and services, the Portuetxe is a reliable restaurant serving roasts and grills, where they do both fresh grilled fish and red juicy steaks. There is turbot, monkfish and sole, although the menu is dictated by what is available on the day. As well as steak, other meat dishes include roast lamb, which has to be ordered in advance and, in season, good game. They serve whatever is in season: beans, artichokes, peas and mixed vegetables and also high quality shellfish, such as clams, either raw or cooked in wine and parsley (they are really good with artichokes) and baby squid with onion. The pastries are good, as is the wine list.
