The old San Pedro parish, built between 1450 and 1460, was once situated on this site. It was demolished at the beginning of the 18th century and replaced with the present one. The reason for this was that its location on high ground and distance from the population made it difficult for the faithful to comply with their religious obligations. Only two of the original features have survived: the Romanesque and Gothic facades of the present cemetery. The former is bricked up and the second is now the entrance to the premises.
