Kontra, San Sebastian

Kontra is located in Miraconcha, an area home to most of San Sebastian's gay bars. It's one of the oldest gay establishments in the town, which you will realize at once when you have a look at its old-fashioned decor - not very elegant and a little seedy. This, in fact, gives a sort of morbid appeal to the wild dancing that takes place here. Customers are a real mix of different people, from young people that end up a little overexcited to mature men and women that go there for a drink and perhaps something more. They have a dark back room where they show pornographic films in order to warm things up, though it's not really necessary.
