This is one of the best places to eat in San Sebastian if you are looking for traditional Galician cuisine in a busy bar, where you can also eat large portions of tapas. They serve squid a feira (cooked with peppers and olive oil), juicy pork with turnip tops, hearty Galician stew, delicious patties with fillings such as cockles, and shellfish, whic you should try steamed. There is also good quality fish, such as turbot or hake, for example, which is cooked Galician style (with pepper), and also more local seafood stews, or scallops in cheese sauce. If you choose top quality fish the bill will be quite high, but if you choose less lavish, but tasty dishes, such as the ones mentioned above you will have an average bill. It is less expensive if you sit at a table in the bar area. The place remains closed on Mondays.
