The information office is open during July, August and September. It is organized in collaboration with the Escuela de Turismo Altamira, who send some 30 or so of their tourism students to run the service over the summer. Qualified students are also on hand for holiday information at the Oficinas de Autoinformación, which are found at Santander's main stations and airports and open every day from 9a-2p and then from 4a-9p in the evening. If you can't find one of these centres, look out for the tourism students who patrol the city's main thoroughfares, ready to answer all your holiday queries. They also do regular surveys to assess visitors requirements.
