The convent of San Pedro Mártir has a history as detailed as the architecture of its structure. Existing from the Fifteen century, this cloisters was first dedicated to the Dominican order.and eventually by the Eigteenth century, proprietary rights of the cloisters was transferred to the Ministry of War that tended its upkeep until it turned into a museum. By the 1960's a full restoration process of the building. The cloister now functions as the Headquarters of the University of Castilla-La Mancha. Sections of the cloisters such as the Royal cloisters are also venue for a concerts in Toleda.
