This beer hall has fulfilled the long-existing demand for a place like this in Toledo's old town. It's in the Santo Tome neighbourhood, close to the church of the same name, housing El Greco's well-known painting, "The Burial of the Count of Orgaz". Gambrinus serves great beers, drawn from a modern tap system in plain view of all the patrons. They also serve juicy bite-size sandwiches, made with thick homemade bread. Prices are reasonable. There is a terrace in the square, known for the bust of famous Toledan denizen Gregorio Maranon. The decor is like that of typical Toledo houses and the clientele is varied.
