According to the present owner, this house once belonged to a Jewish relation of the great painter, El Greco. The restaurant offers a superb range of savoury, homemade rice dishes, game dishes and traditional Castilian cuisine in general. Try the roast onions stuffed with venison, the sirloin of venison in cranberry sauce and the partridge salad. The set menu of the day at lunch time is a very reasonable (EUR 8). Local wines go best with the local food, so it's worth trying a good Valdepenas from Castilla-La Mancha.
