Barracabar, Valencia

If alternative and independent music is your thing, then Barracabar, in the Cánovas area, is the place where you belong. There's always a good scene to be found and, of course, good music. A lot of gigs and concerts by upcoming and establshed bands and musicians further enlivens the scene. Just to give you an idea of the type of music you'll hear, here are a few examples: Beck, Blur, Adorable, James, The Posies, Oasis, Mathew Sweet, Suede, Morphine, Radiohead, Big Soul, Manic Street Preacher, The Chemical Brothers, Edwyn Collins, Luna, Brad, Placebo, and many more. Prices are a bit higher than in other places, but the music (live or otherwise) is worth it.
