Teatro Rialto, Valencia

In the 80s, a lot of old theatres were converted into multiplexes. Here, however, the opposite occurred. This well known cinema was transformed into a theatre by the Valencian government. It's in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and is now the headquarters of the Dramatic Centre of the Valencian government. Today, it is one of the several theatre spaces run by the local government, and it puts on reasonably high quality shows and performances by companies from the Valencian province and other national and international groups. The entrance fee and schedule vary according to the show.
