In the 1500 many people who lived in Zaragoza would go out to the nearby forest to look for firewood to use in their homes and to sell to others. Searching for firewood becomes especially dangerous in the winter, when voilent storms sweep the area in a fightening cloud of ice and fog that makes it very easy for those who venture into the forest to come back to Zaragoza. As a solution, the people of Zaragoza put a large lamp with mirrors atop the bell tower of San Miguel Church. The lamp served as a guiding light, helping those who are lost find their way back to the city. Since then it has been called "campana de los perdidos," or "bell of the lost." This lively bar and live music venue takes its name from this bell. Here you will find a very traditional atmosphere and traditional live music acts. Occasionaly the establishment also hosts a few theatrical performances.
