For years The Winsor, one of the most popular bars for the local custom of weekend vermut(going out for tapas between midday and the late Spanish lunchtime), was closed for business. When it reopened a few years ago, ammending the charmingly incorrect spelling of its forbear, it did so in a more international and sophisticated vein. This is apparent in its careful decor, subdued light and pleasant atmosphere. The good selection of European beers on tap, including Staropramen, Leffe, Franziskaner and Caffrey's. It offers excellent tapas, flaky pastries and a lunch menu with Central European and British specialities like pies and pork with sauerkraut. Their selection of malt whiskies includes brands not usually found in Spain, like Lagavulin. Professionals over thirty and couples are the main customers.
