Overview

The Borås Museum of Art was inaugurated in 1975. It is well-known for its fine and interesting collections of modern art and there are about 3500 works of art all together here. The main focus is on Swedish art from the last few decades. There is a collection of work by miniature painter P.A. Hall, who was active in the art scene in the 18th Century. He was also one of King Louis XVI's artists. The museum consists of three floors, and covers an area of 3500 square meters. There is also a 100-seat auditorium, and a workshop for children.
