Inaugurated by the Crown Prince Gustav Adolf in 1922, Frihamnen is an inner port in Gothenburg and is famous as one of the major container ports in Sweden. Made up of three piers, southern, northern and the western pier, this is home to the cruise shipping industry. It is quickly becoming the city's financial hub. Walk by the quay or taste the Scandinavian delicacies in nearby restaurants. With moderate and expensive hotels, restaurants and other tourist attractions around, this is now a popular tourist destination in Sweden.
