Opened to the public for the 1st time in 1933, Flylkingen used to be a chamber music center but over the decades improvised into a consummate art center which patronized the visual and performing arts equally fervently. Rightly called the 'window to the world', Fylkingen has proved indispensable in connecting Swedish artists and musicians to the rest of the world. As of now, the center hosts dance recitals, video art installations, contemporary exhibitions, chamber music and a diverse set of programs. Check website for details.
