Overview
Herräng is located close to Nörrtälje, a suburb of Stockholm about halfway between the capital and the university town of Uppsala. A historic center of Swedish industry, the town is most remembered for its failed attempt to become the largest mining community in Scandinavia during the 19th Century. man traditional industrial buildings are still present from that era and have been converted to homes and shops in the city's old town.
