Overview

The Oscar theater founded in 1906, is situated in one of the oldest parts of the town, right next to the Central station. Till 1926, the theater was owned by theater king Albert Ranft and the shows included large operettas. Gösta Ekman, the famous movie man in Stockholm was the owner of the theater in the 1930s. It is now owned and run by the Sandrew Metronome, and operetta shows are part of the repertoire, along with American musicals.
