    Formerly known as the Swedbank Arena, the Friends Arena is a sports stadium. Swedbank supports the voluntary institution, namely Friends, which works towards putting a stop to the ragging done in schools. Hence, the venue was renamed as Friends Arena in the honor of this noble organization. Though the arena is multi-purpose and can be used for playing different sports, mostly football is played here. Local fixtures and practice games are held here on a regular basis. Apart from that, Friends Arena also stages concerts and similar other entertaining shows.
