1. Stock Walzwerk, Basel

This little club is a cooperative run by a group of seven people since 2006.  They're not committed to just one type of music, so its really a toss up as to what you'll hear when you go.  The artists are mostly Swiss, though there are a fair amount of international touring bands as well. "1. Stock" means "first floor" in German, as this club is located on the first floor of an old industrial warehouse. The club is about a 12 minute bike ride from the main tram station in Basel, but that keeps it underground, so just enjoy the ride. Also, the owners use recycled and sustainably produced materials in their club, so feel free to rock out with a clean conscience!
