This dreamy oriental restaurant near the centrally-located Barfüsserplatz is nothing less than an oasis. You enter Kelim via a spacious garden, which is especially lively in the summer. Once you step through the front door you are confronted with decor that could have been taken out of 1001 Arabian nights, there are vividly pattered rugs and accessories and the atmosphere is warm and eclectic. The menu is full of tasty and tender meat dishes, made in a special oven and the dishes cooked in a clay pot are equally divine with lots of vegetables. To finish off your meal, order an aromatic Turkish mocha coffee.
