Located in the left bank, Au Pied de Cochon is a very famous restaurant with the locals for its namesake, pied de cochon (pig foot). Serving excellent Lyonnais fare, the food and atmosphere is very homely. The decor has its own charm with subtle lighting, tables clothed in white, ample wood and a zinc bar. Delicacies like garlicky snails, tender alpine lamb, andouillette sausages and tripe are on the menu along with the best alcoholic beverages (hence the reason for the restaurant being flooded with locals). For a hearty bite of the Lyonnaise cuisine in a fin de siècle setting, Au Pied de Cochon is highly recommended.
