Sukhothai has been dubbed Europe's best Thai restaurant. Whether this is entirely justified or not would be difficult to profess with total conviction. However, it is undeniable that anyone who successfully masters the exquisitely intricate cuisine of the owner and chef Wanphen Heymann-Sukphan will certainly rank up with some of the great chefs of our time. The dishes on the menu, which now change on a regular basis, are remarkable for their fabulously light, yet deeply rounded and sometimes spicy character. Only the best will do and consequently the restaurant insists on importing some of the rarer ingredients directly from Thailand. However, this restaurant is very expensive.
