Overview
The Allard Pierson Museum is a part of the University of Amsterdam complex and displays exhibits about life in the Ancient World. A variety of different cultures are explored: the Egyptian exhibit represent over 3500 years of history and the Middle East room presents assembled artifacts from several cultures from Turkey to Iran. The museum's collection is based on sculptures, glassware and drinking vessels from different eras and places such as the Roman, Cyprus, the Greek worlds, etc. If you want to see and experience ancient history, this is an excellent place to go!
