Boulevard Café, Amsterdam

The exterior has not been changed since this custom-house was built in 1901. Inside the Boulevard Café, the ambiance is being helped by the very high original steel rafters. At the 10-stool bar one is served by friendly people of both sexes, who also serve luncheon and dinner in this roomy place with a glazed veranda, a small raised platform where live music is played at times and a storey-high mezzanine perfectly fit for more private parties, or a rendezvous dinner with an old or new love. Every month a new special beer is introduced, Flemish or Dutch, sometimes from the IJ-brewery nearby.
