Golden Chopsticks, Amsterdam

A self-proclaimed "no nonsense" Chinese restaurant, Golden Chopsticks serves Hong Kong-style cuisine with characteristically efficient Cantonese service. Popular with Amsterdam's Asian community, Golden Chopsticks even has a Chinese menu unreadable to most Westerners. Ingredients are imported fresh every day and the style of cooking found here comes from Southern China's Guangdong Province, although a number of more Westernized dishes can also be found throughout the menu. Some treats to look out for in addition to the old favorites are the Siu Kaw soup and, for fish lovers, the fresh catch of the day. -Declan Aylward
