Overview
As if the name isn't self explanatory (despite being in Dutch), Museumplein is home to a number of Amsterdam's biggest and most important museums: the Rijksmuseum (Netherland's national and biggest museum), the Stedelijk Museum (museum of modern art), the Van Gogh Museum, and the Diamond Museum. The area also encompasses a variety of shopping opportunities as well as the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
