The Oesterbar Restaurant (Oyster Bar) is in the Leidseplein and serves only fish like crustaceans and shellfish, caught from the North Sea. They offer local cuisine but you also have the option of ordering contemporary dishes. If you're in the mood for something that's not on the menu, like meat or vegetables, and if they have the ingredients, they will most certainly make it for you! Wine is sold by the glass. The oyster menu has 14 different types of oysters. Eight of them can be had raw and in individual portions, while the others have to be cooked and are available by half-dozen to a plate. You can try their creuses, belons, flat zeeland oysters, oysters Rockefeller and oysters in black bean sauce. Ask for the 'fish of the day' as a starter or the main course.
