Part of a trio of establishments that includes a coffee house and an artisan deli, Small Talk can be found close to Museumplein, just around the corner from the Stedelijk Museum. The French styled restaurant is good for a break from a busy day of museum hopping, and is also close to the boutiques on PC Hooftstraat, Amsterdam's most exclusive designer shopping street. Inside, the atmosphere is busy but not rushed and the restaurant serves a range of snacks and soups as well as a selection of main courses with some superb fish dishes. -Declan Aylward
