Vita (La), Amsterdam

This pizzeria is laid-back and very affordable—and the great news is that the meals served are ten times better than the prices suggest them to be. The successful chefs of Il Fiore, an excellent Italian restaurant, run the pizzeria—and their excellent taste shines through. Every pizza combination you can imagine (from Margherita to Hawaiian to Shoarma) is offered, all delivered piping-hot out of the stone oven. Several pasta dishes are also available, from basic spaghetti Bolognese to Amsterdam's best Carbonara. Salads, starters and soups whet the appetite, and traditional Italian meat and fish dishes round out the menu to make this more than a pizzeria.
