A prominent hockey venue, the Wagener Stadium is located inside the Amsterdamse Bos, in the city of Amstelveen. Built before World War II, this stadium was the initiative of the Amsterdam Hockey & Bandy Club, deemed a tribute to the club's then president, Joop Wagener Sr. Today, the stadium belongs to the Dutch Hockey Association and hosts a variety of important hockey events. With a capacity of about 9,000 spectators, this stadium has been the venue for events like the Hockey World Cup and EuroHockey Nations Championship.
