Zagerij (De), Amsterdam

De Zagerij cafe opened in 1995 and is located within the Jordaan area of the city on the popular Westerstraat. It is mostly popular with the locals and serves typical Dutch cafe food such as the Uitsmijter, which includes ham, cheese and eggs served on slices of bread. From mid-day you can also order from a choice of three main courses, as well as sandwiches and salads with Turkish bread. In the evenings the menu has a selection of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. The large front doors normally open up in the spring and summer, leading out to a small terrace. -Rebecca Cleaves
