Overview
Bewys Cross is an ancient ruin from the 14th or 15th Century. Re-erected and moved, it now stands next to a pond in the grounds of Kingsweston School, a school for disabled children. Legend has it that sailors would thank the Gods for their safe return by leaving donations at the cross. There is said to be a hole in the steps holding up the cross where the coins would be collected. Although a monument with great history, it has slipped under the radar, but is a great site to visit and experience a little bit of the area's history. Be there to know it!
