Heatherleys is one of those increasingly rare places, an intimate, neighborhood restaurant, supremely relaxing but not compromised quality-wise. If you can't face the bustle of the city center but still want a decent meal, give it a try; it may be slightly off the beaten track, but is well worth hunting down. The menu, which changes seasonally, is innovative with an emphasis on unusual and tempting sauces - filo-wrapped king prawns with a chilli dipping sauce, fillet of steak Wellington with a wild mushroom and madeira sauce, and for vegetarians there are deep-fried canellini bean sausages in a creamy grain mustard sauce. It also opens at lunchtimes serving much simpler, lighter fare.
