Overview
The British explorer Robert Falcon Scott died in Antarctica in 1912, after having reached the South Pole. This museum was founded eight years later in his memory. As well as containing equipment and documents relating to this particular expedition, the Scott Polar Research Institute provides a fascinating introduction to both Antarctica and the Arctic Circle, our planet's last wildernesses.
