The Berthlwyd is a very large pub on the main North Gower road. It's a free house with local real ales on tap and has a beer garden, two car parks, a function room and a dark and cozy lounge bar and restaurant divided by a semi-circular bar. The restaurant menu (evenings only) includes local Penclawdd cockles, Welsh Black steaks, Gower sea bass, noisettes of lamb, vegetarian risotto and wild mushroom crêpes. More standard pub food is available at lunchtime with a special offer of two meals at GBP5.95 each. Food is served Tuesday to Thursday midday to 2p and 6p to 9p, Friday and Saturday midday to 2p and 6p to 10p, Sunday midday to 3p. The locally popular quiz night is on Wednesday; most Sunday nights there's live entertainment, sometimes featuring local bands.
