Candles Cafe Bar, Cardiff

Lovers of the great British tradition of tea drinking should pop into Candles in the afternoon. Set in a smart arcade next to the David Morgan department store, it specializes in fine teas and coffees. The menu offers a large choice of specialty teas, from the relatively normal Earl Grey and Darjeeling to more exotic herbal infusions, all coming in individual pots. The coffee is of an equally high standard, or, if you fancy something cold, the ice cream milkshakes come in several flavors. Everything is beautifully presented in a calm and peaceful atmosphere. A pot of tea, a tempting range of cakes, pastries and light meals.
