Muirfield is known as the Home of the Honorable Company of Edinburgh Golfers since the year 1744. And this not without a reason of course. That's because Muirfield is the place where the 13 golf rules for the first Silver Cup competition was written. The golf course which stretches over 6,970 yards is considered to be a healthy challenge even for the most experienced golfers, which is why Muirfield has grown to be a famous golfing venue for many golf competitions over the years. Muirfield is open to visitors every Tuesday and Thursday. Check website for timings. Call for event timings and additional information.
