Originally opened in 1851 on land donated by shipping magnate and local MP William Brown, this imposing building is Liverpool's largest museum and is situated very close to the St. George Hall. Take a journey through time and view the passing of ages from prehistoric man to life in the space age. The botanical and zoological collections in the museum have grown manifold over the years. The place combines exhibits of neo-classical history with the pre-historic days of mankind. The award-winning Natural History Center depicts scenes from rain forests and savannas to the Arctic.
