Yates Bar, Liverpool

Established in 1884, the company is renowned for their unique range of fortified wines. However, these lodges have moved a long way from their old image of bare walls and sawdust on the floor. In the Yates Bar, the flamboyant exterior consists of royal blue paintwork, stained glass windows and lots of dangling foliage. Inside, the old English style furniture and plush curtains create a warm and welcoming atmosphere and the lively ambiance tends to appeal to all ages. The menu ranges from quick snacks to full meals and combination platters to share. The bar gets really noisy from Wednesday to Saturday when live music blasts out until late.
