Leave it to the marketing gurus at Abolut Vodka to come up with the answer to global warming: Icebar! A genuine ice palace or maybe just a glorified igloo, this nightlife attraction is entirely carved out of ice. The idea is being trotted out in central London's Piccadilly Circus to attract locals and tourists that think the UK is not quite cold enough. The tables, walls, stools and bar are all made of ice, fresh from the River Torne in Sweden, with the whole establishment kept at a frigid minus five degrees Celsius (23 Fahrenheit). Everyone who springs for an entrance fee will be loaned mittens and a thermal cape to ward off any chance of hypothermia, along with a personal ice glass filled with their choice of a vodka cocktail.
