"The Cod" is no ordinary gastro-pub. Situated at the bottom of restaurant-heavy Draycott Avenue, it's always buzzing with Chelsea locals. The restaurant, which serves excellent modern British food, is separated from the rest of the layout in a rectangular, airy room with a retractable glass roof which is great for summer dining. The one-page menu is full of simple, fresh and delicious items, like the roast butternut squash risotto and British mainstays like "black sheep ale" battered fish & chips. Desserts are wickedly sweet, as all British desserts should be. A perfect place for after-work drinks and a meal to rival any of the nearby Brompton Cross fare.
