The Albert Bridge, connecting Chelsea and Battersea over the river Thames has been standing proudly since its construction in the late 19th Century. The bridge which began as a mere suspension bridge was modified, and today, is a magnificent cable-style bridge. It has seen its fare share of misfortunes over the years and has almost faced demolition. However the bridge is open to public and regular transportation today. At night, the Albert Bridge is covered in lights, making it a beautiful sight.
