Angelus, London

Angelus encompasses all that it means to be French. Owned by the theatrical Thierry Tomasin, the restaurant is excessive yet classy, and you can't help but abandon all your pretenses at the door. Stepping in from the small patio out front, Angelus greets you with dark wood tables, ornate wall decorations, and a bustling, cheery atmosphere that will have you believing you stepped off the sidewalk into Paris. The servers speak French here, adding to the French theme of Angelus. The Foie Gras Creme Brulee is the dish to have, but you will not encounter disappointment from anything on the menu. The twelve page long wine list can be a bit daunting, but don't fret because Thierry himself will be there to help with any of your choices.
