Popular with Antipodeans, this friendly and diverse riverside pub claims to have the best views of the Thames in the southwest part of the city . Tucked off Putney’s bustling high street, it has a thriving downstairs bar area that plays host to live bands. For a more lounging experience, the middle floor mezzanine offers a mismatch of interesting furniture including bright red lips sofas, leather chesterfields and huge armchairs. The top floor bar has high wooden tables and stools and a conservatory-style eating area, along with a huge outdoor roof terrace to make the most of the summer. The regularly changing menu includes dishes like fresh fillet of sea bass and British West Country chicken breast, with a good selection of beverages to wash it all down.
