Cecil Sharp House, London

Cecil Sharp House is the headquarters of the English Folk Dance and Song Society and has been owned by them since 1930. It is named after the founder of the society. It hosts a wide range of dance and music events including clog, Morris, Slovakian and Salsa dancing, harmony singing, sing-arounds and British music. There is also a variety of lessons. It contains the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library which contains literature and many sound and manuscript collections. The Cecil Sharp Café is open during the day and often in the evening and provides a good range of food and reasonable prices.
