This local pizzeria has been feeding South Kensington families for decades, and can name the late Princess Diana and her sons as past customers. The guests aren't the restaurants only royal connection - the gorgeous Venetian building in which you'll find Da Mario was commissioned by Queen Victoria. The ground floor is cramped but friendly and the basement, where you'll find a dance floor, doesn't get going until the disco music is cranked up. If you're a regular, don't be surprised to see your photo on the wall. Although the menu offers pasta and meats, no one seems to skip the pizzas. The selection is pretty good, but if you like your pizzas thin-crusted and crisp, you might not be too impressed. Last orders are at 11:30p but the restaurant doesn't close until 1a, so it's a great place for a late night chat with friends.
