El Paso, London

El Paso is the self-professed 'Slag of Shoreditch - a bit rough but you still would.' Essentially a Tex-Mex restaurant, the El Paso has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and the rustic surroundings make you less concerned about dropping your burrito on the floor. The atmosphere is generally laid back and relaxed, though locals often meet up here as a pre-bar warm up. Later in the evening, usually around 9p, the atmosphere sparks with Latino flare and everybody moves into the basement, where there is often a band, comedy act or a DJ providing the entertainment. Prices are reasonable, the service is good and the food is great.
