The Engineer has earned itself a well-deserved reputation as North London's top gastro-pub. That new specimen of wonder pubs, where you get far more than a gulp of beer, is a good bet for modern British cuisine, often with a Mediterranean slant. In fine weather punters can enjoy the fresh outdoors in the lovely garden, just be sure to book a table ahead of time. The menu changes twice a month - with bruschetta, artichoke salad, prosciutto, feta, beef and risotto with Parmesan shavings, all appearing regularly.
