One of the oldest military museums still in operation, the Royal Artillery Museum is a tribute to the spirit of scientific and military progress, as well as to the men and women who have served the British Crown. Now housed in the Royal Arsenal (which for years was kept secret from the general public), this collection spans over years of military history, with displays featuring dramatic wartime reenactments, uniforms, weapons, personal diaries, medals, and ammunition. See what life is like for modern-day shooters as you explore the Field of Fire exhibit; then check out the 'Victoria Cross' guns, some of the most famous weapons in history, having provided the material for hundreds of 'Victoria Cross' medals. In addition, the museum houses an extensive library and archive that are open by appointment.
