Traditional Italian delicacies don’t come much better than the Food Lab midway down Essex Road. Decorated with the essence of a Tuscan kitchen, freshly prepared snacks and meals can be eaten-in or made to takeaway. Delicious pastas and risotto are a bargain whilst doorstep sandwiches come in ciabatta or brushetta. The in-house smoothies, given the names, Love, Sex, Happiness and Recovery are popular. Dishes are well presented and the staff are exceptionally friendly.
